Pastor Latonya M. Sheares is a native of Toledo, Ohio. She has served diligently in ministry since childhood. Pastor Latonya served as Pastor of Administration for 15 years, Senior Pastor for 6 years of Moving Forward Christian Ministries and is currently the Executive Pastor of Fresh Wind Church.
God used her experiences and His teaching to anoint her to develop, empower and equip disciples to fulfill God's purpose in their lives. With God's anointing, she ministers to people to experience the fullness of the Holy Spirit's power through redemption, restoration, revelation and demonstration.
The foundation of her ministry is based on 2 Timothy 1:9, "God has saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus."
Because of the love, compassion and ministry for women given to her by God, Pastor Latonya founded The Sanctity Of Sisterhood International Fellowship. The vision of SOS is to bring sisters together from all walks of life to give a platform to minister and be ministered to in a safe-haven, without judgment or prejudice. Additionally, breaking down the barriers of isolation and discrimination that women through history have built against one another.
Through her commitment to serve, love and live out loud, by God’s Grace, HER (Healed, Empowered, Restored) ministries was birthed in 2019. Through this non-profit organization, HER House and HER Closet will provide temporary housing, clothing and the assistance needed to get away from abuse and provide guidance to enter back into society - Healed, Empowered and Restored.
Pastor Latonya is the loving wife of Bishop Darrell F. Sheares, Sr., since 1987. She is the biological mother of Darrell, Jr. and Tracey. However, she is embraced as Mom by many sons and daughters. She is a dedicated servant of God who serves with compassion, love and grace.
Pastor Latonya is a Woman of God who seeks wisdom continually in pursuit of being the living sacrifice she was created to be.
